Recently I was able to connect with some of my favorite people! It was for the wedding of the son of the beautiful lady in the blue dress above. We all worked together at one time, and shared everyday life for a number of years. Since that time, we have all gone our seperate ways, but still try to stay connected through phone calls, emails and of course, Facebook!
So this wedding gave us a great opportunity to connect! One friend came from Oklahoma, one from Nevada, and one from California, and we all met in Texas. It was a great time and we made some wonderful memories.
Do you have some great friends? People you can share your heart with? People who love you even on your worst day? These girls above are those kind of people to me. They inspire me and encourage me and challenge me to be the person that God created me to be. We are all very different and come from different backgrounds, but that is what makes it so much fun. It's almost like marriage, if you're both alike, then one is unnecessary. There is the analytical one, the Spiritual counselor, and the crazy, life of the party one, and they are all wonderful women of God!
I am very blessed to have girlfriends like these, and there is one thing that I have realized, it takes time and effort to make strong friendships work. The investment is worth it, because as our relationships grow, so do we. We learn how to be a friend, and what it takes to love people for who they are, not who you want them to be. We are like flowers in a garden - all special and beautiful!
Blessings,
Mamawizzy
P.S - I do have to say that there are a few ladies missing from the picture above. Ladies that have also shared life with me, and are special to me, but didn't happen to make it to Texas that day!
