more gear

There's all sorts of little things we're going to need on this trip, so I thought I'd get some of the stuff out of my pack and show you.  

On the right of the photo is the mosquito head net, not too excited that I'm going to need this, but glad I'm going to have it.  Next is the case to keep my phone dry, I want to make sure to be able to post to my blog on the trip.  It attaches to the backpack strap and you can even use the phone without taking it out! To the left of the phone case is duct tape - yep, you never know when you're going to need duct tape!  And last but certainly not least, is the snow stake -aka pooper scooper, dig stick... Yes it's for what you think it's for!  They have cute little folding shovels especially made for this job, but my Dad says that these work just as well and they weigh less -  and it's all about weight at this point!  

This last thing is one of the things that has kept me from being a camper/hiker for many years!  I like indoor plumbing!  I'm trying not to dwell on this aspect of the trip much!
