Well, it looks like we are going to have to postpone our AT trip! We have had some things come up that will make it difficult to take the time and spend the money this year, but maybe next year! We plan instead to do some local hikes and camping.
And you are probably wondering what happened - well it was a few things that transpired, but the biggest thing is that . . . my baby's getting married! Yep, the end of October I will have a new daughter-in-law! We are excited for them and looking forward to the big day.
It's things like this that make me think of Scriptures like, "In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps." Proverbs 16:9. We have in our minds what a day or week or year will look like, but we never know for sure until we look back what will be. I love that about God - he knows what is best for me and what he wants to do through me. So right now I get to be Mother-of-the-Groom! Exciting times!
