Well it has been a busy time! We recently married off our baby, went to Disneyland with our daughter's family, and packed up our house to move! I don't know what was more stressful, walking down the isle with my son, saying goodbye to longtime friends or trying to pack a 2100 square foot house into a 16x8x8 moving pod!
The wedding was beautiful and we have a wonderful new daughter-in-law! We had a wonderful time watching the wonder on the face of our 3 year old granddaughter at Disneyland! And it was exciting to watch as they pulled away with the pod packed with all our worldly possessions. Now we prepare to make the long drive from Cali to Texas. Me, Papawizzy, and Maggie together, 1800 miles in the Chevy HHR!
It is a hard thing to say goodbye. Especially when you've lived in one place for pretty much all your life. We plan to come back to California on a regular basis, but it will never be the same. Catching lunch with a good friend, seeing people at church each week, knowing your way around, where to shop, the good places to eat . . .
On one hand it's exciting, new places and faces - no one knows us where we're going - that might be good :)! We are going to be living an entirely different lifestyle - RV style. It will be interesting, challenging. On the other hand it's scary! New places and faces, the comfortable friends will be gone (well they'll be in California), we will have to make new friends - I'm not sure how good I am at that!
One thing is for sure - the Lord is enlarging our territory! What exciting things does He have for us? I can't wait to get started!
Blessings,
Mamawizzy
P.S. We have the most wonderful family and friends! Thank you all for the help and the well wishes! You will be forever in our hearts and on our minds.
