we just waved "good bye"

It's funny, you never know who God will bring across your path.  And you never know how they will affect your life.  I remember our first meeting, we had just had our RV delivered to the spot where we planned to live the next year or so.  We were pretty nervous, we were definite greenhorns! So this guy appears out of nowhere, I figured that he must work at the RV park.  He helped us get our rig set up - thank goodness, because we didn't have a clue!  He never said much, just went about getting things plugged in, turned on and leveled.  And then he was gone.

We found out that he didn't work at the RV park, but was a neighboring RV'er. Those of you who have read my blog are aware of some of the difficulties we've had as we've navigated the RV lifestyle. He was always available to help us out, but I'm sure every time we knocked on their door he probably thought, "what's the problem now"!

We didn't spend a lot of time together, but we shared a few meals and had conversation in our adjoining lawn.  Since they are full time RV'ers, they leave the hot weather of Texas behind in the summer. Last night there was a little party to wish them happy trails (we even sang it to them), and now they are on there way down the road headed to Montana.  So as we look out on the empty space next to us, we say Good bye, Doug and Betty, thanks for all the help, we'll miss you!

Blessings,
Mamawizzy

  1. I'm pretty sure the Witness Protection Program requires them to switch parks frequently. "Doug and Betty". Sure.
