a new job

For me starting a new job is stressful.  Like the fig tree I recently planted in a whiskey barrel out front.  It looks like a stick just stuck in the dirt, but oh the possibilities!  It may not make it.  Or it could flourish and produce yummy fruit for years to come.  

I suppose what happens will be based on how well I take care of it.  Will I water it, fertilize it, prune it if necessary?  But then it's possible that no matter what I do it won't survive because it's the wrong environment for the tree, and in that case I will take what I have learned and move on.

So as I begin this journey with a new employer, I will look forward to the possibilities and will do my best to water, fertilize and prune!
