it's been a long wait!

And we're still waiting! We have been without our rig since mid-August, and it looks like we won't be getting it back until the end of the year!! We have used the time to do some maintenance on the homestead, hang out with friends and get our daughter married off. We plan to spend the holidays here and then hit the road at the beginning of the year.

It's funny because 2020 has been such a crazy year for everyone, so I'm hoping that when we get back on the road things will be more open and we'll be able to enjoy the sights of our beautiful country. Or maybe it will still be crazy and we'll just have to park somewhere and become trailer trash until we can move back into our house lol!! I'm anxious to get back into our own space, even if it's only 250 square feet! It has been a blessing staying in our friends beautiful home, but tonight we start staying in hotels which won't be cheap! Thankfully, Grand Design has agreed to cover our hotel expenses until we get our rig back. I'm hoping that will motivate them to get it back to us sooner!

Whatever happens, it will be an adventure! And that's what we signed up for right?! We've had so many people say that maybe all the crazy things that have happened to us (you can look at past posts to get an idea) was God's way of telling us that he didn't want us to go on this adventure. But I say that it has been an opportunity to grow our faith and dependance on Him, as Papawizzy and I grow in our relationship with each other!

So today we're sitting in a hotel room just biding our time. It's really strange staying in hotels now. You have to schedule a time to pick up your breakfast (which we didn't because we didn't realize that we needed to have our order in the night before), and wear masks everywhere. It's so sad to see such a masked society! That's probably the reason that the RV industry is booming!

We plan to enjoy Thanksgiving with our daughter and family. She'll want me to make pumpkin pie, so I'll have to use her kitchen :). Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Blessings,

Mamawizzy
