Well we made it! We still have a lot to do, warranty issues to take care of, figure out where to put everything and of course, get some cute outdoor furniture and a BBQ!
We've been in the RV for a few days now, and in that time we've met some really nice people and Maggie's met some nice dogs. We've experienced our first crazy storm - thunder, lightning and buckets of rain through the night. Nothing to speak of for our Mid-West friends, but for this California girl it was kinda scary! It was probably amplified due to the fact that the rain was just a few feet above us and pounding on a metal roof. At 3am in the midst of it, I rolled over to Papawizzy and said, "I want a house"! Well we survived and I think the next one won't be so bad.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Jamie and her family and friends, it was her first time to host and she did a fabulous job! We did some customary black Friday shopping, and I was able to get the Christmas tree for the RV. Then we went with Jamie and family to cut down their tree. It was a great time!
Today as I write this, it is raining quite hard, which is good because the area needs to recover from the terrible drought and we are cozy in our little 5th wheel!
